a little about me

hey everyone,

As you all know my name is Hailey. I was born in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1997. I moved to Marquette when I was 6 months old with my mother. Growing up I did not have a father. I wasn't the only kid, I also have a real brother and a half sister. When I was younger it was the hardest thing to live growing up without a father, but I thank the lord each and every day for the mother I have in my life that plays both mother and father role in my life. I started playing basketball. I was on the Graveraet middle school teams when I was in 4th and 5th grade, then going into middle school i played on their team 6th through 8th grade, and lastly I played on the Marquette Senior High school team freshman and sophomore year until I broke my foot. During the middle school through high school years in the summer I played on both Storm and Magic travel basketball teams. Basketball is my favorite sport to watch and play. I love to be outdoors, travel, I love to run, be with friends. Something really weird about me is that I work at a movie theatre but I HATE movies and TV.

future

Dear whoever is reading this,

I have come to conclusion that I suck at writing blogs, I never know what to say or write about. I'm only doing this because I have to for a grade to pass this class. I will probably write about pointless stuff that you don't care about, but that's okay! I hope everyone is having a good first week of college. I'm so nervous for this semester. I just have to stay positive and put my mind to it. Throughout my high school career, I did not do so hot in English class. I'm more interested in science and math. I love learning about the body and what it does for us (exactly why I'm taking anatomy). I am going to school to be a dental hygienist, kind of cool because I'm following my mother’s footsteps. I am really am excited for college to be over already and to be in the real world. I’m excited to be an adult and finally be out there on my own making decisions all by myself and have a family of my own. I am striving to achieve all my dreams and hope one day I’m living the life I dreamed of.

bad times

I broke my foot when I was a junior in High School while playing basketball. The day it happened, I did not even know that it was broken so I continued playing in the game. At half time, I felt a pain in my foot thinking it was just because my feet always hurt while playing. Well, the next day it still hurt and I knew something was not right. I went to the hospital the next day. Turns out, my foot was broken and I needed surgery. I was in a walking boot for 5 months, I could honestly say that it was a horrible time because I could not do anything.
