hey everyone,
As you all know my name is Hailey. I
was born in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1997. I moved to Marquette when I was
6 months old with my mother. Growing up I did not have a father. I
wasn't the only kid, I also have a real brother and a half sister. When I
was younger it was the hardest thing to live growing up without a
father, but I thank the lord each and every day for the mother I have in
my life that plays both mother and father role in my life. I started
playing basketball. I was on the Graveraet middle school teams when I
was in 4th and 5th grade, then going into middle school i played on
their team 6th through 8th grade, and lastly I played on the Marquette
Senior High school team freshman and sophomore year until I broke my
foot. During the middle school through high school years in the summer I
played on both Storm and Magic travel basketball teams. Basketball is
my favorite sport to watch and play. I love to be outdoors, travel, I
love to run, be with friends. Something really weird about me is that I
work at a movie theatre but I HATE movies and TV.
I grew up only having a mom too. The hardest thing for me was seeing my best friends with her dad and hearing her talk about her dad. I thought as I grew up I'd get over it... but I haven't. I get really jealous of my boyfriend when he goes out to do stuff with his dad. Then I feel bad because part of me doesn't want him to see his dad but then I wouldn't want him or anyone else to not have a dad either.. it really does suck. But I have the most wonderful mother who did an amazing job as both parents as well!!
